Focus Group Discussion for Job Seekers and Recent Hires
Starting a new job is an important milestone. Some aspects work well and help you feel confident and welcomed, others can be unclear or challenging.
EMINA Career Guidance Foundation invites job-seekers and recent hires currently residing in Hungary to take part in a moderated focus group discussion within the Smart Jobs project.
The discussion will explore:
- What helps people feel supported during their first weeks in a new job
- What makes onboarding clear, motivating and well-structured
- What can feel confusing or difficult when adapting to a new workplace
- How communication, training and workplace culture influence the first months
- What could be improved to make starting a job smoother and more successful
Your experiences will contribute to improving how employability and career guidance services prepare people for work. The insights will also support the development of practical tools designed to make onboarding more accessible and supportive.
