The Art Well – International Training on Art-Based Self-Care and Well-Being is an international mobility of youth workers implemented within the Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership project Art Well.
Hosted by EMINA Foundation in Fonyód, Hungary, this 6-day training brings together youth workers from Austria, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Hungary to explore art-based approaches that strengthen self-care, mental well-being and inclusive youth work practice.
Aim
The training focuses on using art as a tool for self-care, well-being and inclusion in youth work.
It aims to:

support youth workers’ own mental resilience
-
provide practical, transferable art-based methods
-
strengthen confidence in facilitating creative processes responsibly
-
connect research, local practice and international exchange
Learning approach
The programme is based on non-formal education and experiential learning, combining expert-led sessions with strong partner contribution.
Participants engage in:

movement, visual arts, storytelling and creative expression
-
reflective practice and peer learning
-
partner-led workshops developed through local activities
-
synthesis and planning of follow-up initiatives
The training includes six full programme days and concludes with reflection and preparation of local dissemination activities.
Outcomes
By the end of the mobility, participants will:

gain a tested set of art-based self-care and well-being activities
-
strengthen their ability to adapt creative methods to diverse youth contexts
-
contribute to a Training Concept Handbook compiling best practices
-
become part of a European learning community focused on art, care and youth work quality
Who participates
The training is designed for youth workers and educators (18+) who:
-
work directly with young people, especially those facing stress or exclusion
-
are interested in creative, art-based and non-formal approaches
-
wish to strengthen their own self-care while applying methods ethically and safely
Trainers
The training is facilitated by experienced non-formal education trainers specialising in youth empowerment, creative learning, mental well-being and intercultural dialogue.
