Onboarding in practice: aligning professional approaches with real experience

The EMINA Career Guidance Foundation invites labour market experts and individuals with recent onboarding experience to join a joint focus group within the Smart Jobs project.
The discussion will bring together HR professionals, employability experts and individuals with first-hand onboarding experience to explore how onboarding processes work in practice and how they can be improved.
The discussion will explore:
- common challenges faced during onboarding
- situations where support is most needed but often missing
- practical strategies and approaches that have proven effective
- factors influencing early adaptation and workplace integration
- the role of innovative tools, including AI-based solutions
